ABOUT US

Hanamizuki embodies the spirit of nature, from manifesting the delicate beauty of the natural world to the appreciation of its graceful abundance.

An amalgamation of Flower, Water and Wood in Japanese, Hanamizuki offers a luxury bridal decor that magnifies characteristics of nature in its wedding planning and design. The team believes that small actions create a great impact on the environment; that minimal and glamorous can be excellently equal. With sleek attention to detail, Hanamizuki designs bespoke Bali weddings that align with natural beauty.

The story began in 2003 which witnessed the humble beginnings of Tirtha, the first and only wedding resort in Bali with full-range wedding planning services and destination wedding receptions set by the cliffs of Uluwatu, Bali.

Tirtha’s wedding services have extended outside the stunning premises to bring you customizable Bali weddings and events, from the minute you arrive to the moment you bid farewell.

Attention to detail can be uniquely Japanese. Honoring this true Japanese approach to wedding ceremonies, Hanamizuki combines touches of luxury and natural beauty, down to the detail of capturing abundant vegetation around Bali as the frame of our sustainable wedding planning and wedding decorations.

Each wedding is a celebration authentic to you. Passionate about bespoke wedding planning and sustainable wedding concepts, we orchestrate unique celebrations and delicately design each one to reflect you as individuals and ultimately as couples.

The Bali wedding decorators are here to listen to every thought, hope and dream to deliver your milestone event before your eyes, with as little waste as possible.

Creative Director

Yuka Koreyasu

“As a huge believer in nature, we created Hanamizuki to implement an environmentally-friendly wedding decoration concept with minimum wastage as our core philosophy.”

Mrs Koreyasu had been working in Japan’s fashion industry as a merchandiser and visual merchandiser before she embarked on her bridal journey in Bali. She set up Tirtha, one of the first Bali destination wedding venues, alongside her husband in 2000. Tirtha now stands as one of Bali’s highly-regarded wedding planners offering three venues in Uluwatu, Bali, with beauty incomparable to one another.

Tirtha Uluwatu, Stone House by Tirtha, and Glass House by Tirtha are the brainchilds of Mr and Mrs Koreyasu, where elegant Japanese aesthetics are in abundance. These Bali destination wedding venues embody Tirtha’s sustainable concept and core philosophy of ‘precise, clean and personable.’

Wedding Florist

Bernadette Verschuuren

“I see Hanamizuki as divine intervention. The idea of showing gratitude to nature and using whatever we can find from what is around us excites me. Life is all about balance; we cannot only take from nature, but we also have to give back. And when we do that, I believe it will bring beautiful outcomes for both Tirtha and the clients. Anytime is always the right time to start something new. The key is to believe in what we do.”

Mrs Verschuuren has 35 years of working as a florist under her belt. It all started when she was 15 years of age when she worked in the nursery of a flower shop in the Netherlands. Little did she know, the vacation job would turn into a life-long career.

Born into a nature-loving family, she grew up where vegetables and flowers were aplenty. Her mother would put together gorgeous vases around the house with flowers freshly picked from her father’s garden. The beauty of nature has been one of her inspirations working as a wedding florist in Bali.

Stylist

Aisha Nurfiana

“I am passionate about Hanamizuki’s sustainable wedding planning concept, especially towards zero-waste principles, since it allows us to do a small part in reducing carbon footprint and preserving the environment without losing the elegance and artistic elements in each design. We have so much to offer through Hanamizuki’s philosophy that we will be able to conveniently guide our clients to take this path together, while still obtaining unique and amazing results.”

Ms Nurfiana hails from Bandung, West Java, where she worked as an event decorator and wedding florist since 2012. She feels most inspired by nature, art and movies.

Nature gives her a sense of peace while allowing her to witness a myriad of colors not found elsewhere. Art has been a passion since her salad days. Growing up, she spent time drawing, painting, playing music enough for her to pursue art in higher education and continued in her career. Meanwhile, watching movies helps build new perceptions of her artistic spectacle.
